I have a grandlovie, Ashli who just turned 5 years old. She has 2non-malignant/inoperable tumors in/on her brain, opticnerves, hypothalamus gland. She has had 10 Chemos and the tumors are not living, but not shrinking. It has caused her to gain an enormous amonunt of weight and has also affected the part of the brain that determines her behavior. She is VERY strong-willed and defiant. Our son, his wife and the Dr.'s just need our prayers for wisdom in how to treat her now. They have stopped the Chemo for now and are not considering Radiation because she is so young and all the side-effects. Pleas epray for her. She also has a website on caringbridge. Just view the site named "ashlisawesomeadventure" for the whole story. Thank you so much for lifting my sweet baby to Jesus. In His Grip, Just4HisGlory

Pam. What a joy and affirmation of God's love and mercy. Yes, grandlovie is a term of endearment for my grandkids. I am MeMe and my hubby is PePaw. We ae having Ashli at our home for a few hours this afternoon for a belated Birthday Party. We were not able to go to it last week, so we are having one today. Just a real small one. Right now she is decorating cup cakes with her aunt.
The tumor in her brain can only be removed by GOD. I agree. HE is the maker of her body and will be the HEALER of her body. I Thank you so much for your prayers. The desease she has (inherited from her dad, me, my dad...), is calaled Neurofibromatosis.
May GOD richly Bless Your Week. In His Grip, Judy (akaJust4HisGlory)

Hi Just4HisGlory,

Forgive my 'ignorance' ... is 'grandlovie' a nickname for your granddaughter? I always wonder if God doesn't have a special call on a life when at such a young age, they face so much adversity. Yes, joining you in the gap and trusting God that His will be done and His wisdom extended to all who must make decisions for Ashli. She's lucky to have a loving grandmother like you!

Yes, that is what I call my lovies. They are all so precious and a reward for making so many mistakes with our own kids. I have always felt that Ashli was a "special" gift. My son was going through an extremely difficult time in his life when she came into our lives. I believe GOD knew that we were going to need her. She also has a baby sister named Danni Jane and they are both the light of our lives. We have 12 lovies in all. 2 in Ohio, 2 in Georgia, 2 step-gl's in Ca, 2 s-gl's about 2 hours away, and my sons 2 boys by a previous relationship that are not in our lives at the moment due to a custody fight. Long story. It has been 5 years since we saw them, hence Ashli being our saving grace. He and his wife now have 2 girls. (ashli & Danni).
I have always known that Ashli was unique. Strong-willed as the day in long. I used to literally ask GOD WHY she ws that way. Why she ws so defient, adn such a pistol. When she got sick last Thannksgiving, I KNEW WHY!!! GOD knew in HIS infinite wisdom adn power that she would NEED every ounce of that spit an vinegar to get her through this. I encourage Y'all to visit her caringbridge.com page. It explains more about her disease and her awesome adventure. The name if her site is just ashlisawesomeadventure. I need to updaye it, but it tells a lot still. Thank you so much for your prayers. Those prayers joined by many others is what is going to make her better. GOD is going to heal her brain. Man can not take the tumor out of her hear. BUT OG CAN!!! I think that is what HE is trying to get me to realize. To just trust him. Ps. 27.1 is my verse for her. I satnd on that. I hope you have a Jesus Blessed Week. In His Grip, Just4HisGlory

Hi Jude, just checking in to see how your granddaughter is doing/feeling, as well as her parents, and you. Please post an update when time permits.

They (the Dr.s) are still stopping her Chemo. The tumors are technically not living and growing anymore, so they have deceided to stop the Chemo. The last couple of Chemos' were very hard on her. I truly believe God has brought us to this point to show us that man has done all that man can do. It is now time to stand back and watch GOD DO WHAT ONLY GOD CAN DO!!!!! I truly have faith that He will heal her and He will remove the tumors in her brain. Because of the composition of the tumors, their size, and their location, it is too risky to operate. It is (and always has been), in the hands of the one who created and fashioned Ashli's brain.
Thanks for asking and it means a lot to us all that she is covered by a blanket of prayer by so many. In His Grip, Jude

Lord we stand together and lift Ashli up to you. We ask you to touch and restore Ashli's body. I pray that the tumors would be completely gone in the name of Jesus. I pray that the very next time she is even examined that the dr's will see that You and You alone have touched Ashli. May she become a testimony of your grace and healing to everyone she knows. I pray that you will be with her parents and family and just give them peace and strength during this struggle. I pray that you would give them a peace and that they would just sense Your presense. We ask all of this in Jesus name, Amen

God Bless, Kim

Thank you Kim for your prayers for my sweet Ashli. I stand in agreement with you. God has told me in all this to stand back and see Him do what ONLY He can do. Man has done what they can to remove these tumors or shrink them. Now it is up to Him to heal her. Have a Jesus Blessed Day today. In His Grip, Jude

Dear Heavenly Father, our Lord, and our Creator we praise you for your goodness and compassion. Please Lord, we know that if just hearing about Ashli's disease is painful to us that You Lord being all knowing are aware of all the pain associated with this family. We ask you Lord considering your Beloved Son Jesus that you please heal this little girl of all diseases in her body. All for Your Glory Lord. We pray that not only will this Grandlovie be healed but that her spirit will also be aware that You are God alone and all things are possible through You. Please Lord, have mercy on this family. Please embrace them Lord, please heal her Father. We love you Lord and pray for Your will. We trust in You!

Dear Jude, I'm sorry for your family's circumstances but you're aware of who God is and nothing is impossible to Him. Continue to trust Him. We'll continue to have you in our prayers. God bless you.

Love,
Danelle34
