So moderation was the key to Clinton receiving favoritism. He moderately said yes to everyone, and meet them half way. When do we ever say no. We have no boundaries anymore! Like saying I am a little pregnant. Will you know that the baby will come! So we have to accept the fact that our government will BEND to the direction of the wind. So the more noise that you make, the more you get noticed and the more you get funding. Oh my. I just had twins.
Wed 9:40 p.m. The only thing that I see that Hilary has going for her is the promise of a socialized health care. But as most concerned citizens know that all the countries that have socialized health care is failing. Our health care hasn't changed in 10 years, and we are doing fine.
And also here in CA there is still a court trial in regards to Peter Paul, who contributed a large sum to support her, she is still denying the contribution, because of the scandal outcome. It is on the YouTube "PeterPaul" the video that Hilary does not want you to see.
The Clinton's are so full of scandals, I spent the whole day reading just SOME of them.
Oh, and Julia, My husband says that the reason that Willie was liked was because of his charismatic approach to the public. He is very good at debating. And looking folks in the eyes, and telling them what they want to hear. Not that it was true. He was a good liar even under oath. Clinton's lie, cheat and steal. Hopefully they will bring back the furniture and china to the White House that they stole when Willie and Her left.
Karen,
I don't really understand why you direct your post to me ( do you?)
Just to clarify: I would NOT vote for Hillary - I agree with you about Bill Clinton.
I think, from a pastoral stand point, the problem that exist, is that before it used to be black and white. Someone was blatantly Christian, or at least supported moralism and Christian - like values, while the other generally did not.
However, in a society plagued by grey area, we seem to have not the choice of right or wrong...because now days, it seems they are all wrong on something...but rather
a choice of
the lesser of two evils...
I know this sounds sad to say...but I am in agreeance with the majority on this one...its hard to be decisive in a world where politics has become so corrupt. Even the good guy is holding a preverbial knife behind his back...
having said that, I do believe in voting, so long as there is a candidate that most closely represents Gods word. Which, unfortunatley is not something we have had a abundance of as of late.
You're right - it's tough to find a candidate like that!
What bothers me a lot is that in Churches here the pastors like to tell us, that we HAVE to vote republican, because of their Christian values and their stand on abortion. I find that wrong! We've had 8 years of a Republican in office - and the abortion issue hasn't been touched. And it won't be, because every politician is too afraid it might cost him votes!
So if they're not changing it, what is the reason for me supporting them?
I use my common sense to decide on whom to vote for. I look at all the candidates and what they SAY they stand for. Then I try to decide first, if I believe them, if they're sincere. I don't vote by party, I vote by candidate. It seems to me, right now McCain is a good choice.
Julia, we need to find you a bigger platform! You have more passion and interest in American politics than most Americans born with the right to vote! I find your interest and passion to see a better America inspiring in general, but especially considering you're a German-born girl!
Will you vote if there is no candidate that represents strongly Christian values and God's word? Hopefully that will not be the case - but anything can happen in the next year - good or bad.
I am praying and am thankful for people like James Dobson who speak up for Christian and family values in the media. He gets alot of criticism but I am grateful for him. We all need to stand up for what is good and acceptable in God's eye and perfect and not be conformed to the world(Rom 12:1-2). Sadly the church has conformed to the world in many respects.
Did you see the Huckabee "Values Voters" debate intro (I've got the link included early in this Forum. I think he presents his Christian values clearly.
I haven't studied any candidate too deeply yet, just kind of watching and listening; it seems often, someone looks really good, than "wham!" out comes the big surprise; I'm not sure if that will happen in this election, but, just kind of my approach.
Does anyone know if there is a "comparison chart" that shows the main issues and how each candidate stands? I found this site for a side-by-side comparison of two candidates: http://tinyurl.com/2769uj
